Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – White Berries Green Leaves

This wall scroll is for lovers of flower and bird: a flower-and-bird scene, painted in a relaxed classical style. It is the flower-and-bird theme that defines this scroll: familiar ground, seen as if for the first time. Small touches carry it: flying bird, white berries and green leaves, done in brushwork that feels effortless.

As a flower-and-bird painting it keeps easy company with far older works, without ever feeling derivative. The coloring is clean whites and fresh greens, in the mineral-pigment manner that ages gracefully. Negative space does half the work — the empty silk around flying bird lets the subject breathe. The traditional silk mounting finishes it — no frame needed, nothing to add.

One nail in a quiet wall — the scroll's entire wish list. A reading nook, a tea-drinking corner, the wall above a low cabinet — anywhere quiet suits it. It is a fine example of flying bird and white berries Chinese painting, the kind of piece that grows on you.
