Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Lily Autumn Leaves

Collectors of flower and bird art will like this one — a Chinese scroll painting with genuine charm. Bird-and-blossom has long been a beloved subject, and here you see why — it carries the entire composition. The composition balances its subject with blue bird, lily and autumn leaves, so the scroll never feels empty or busy.

As a colorful gongbi bird-and-blossom work, it keeps company with older pieces without imitating them. Color stays soft blues and lively, varied color — enough to lift the ink, never enough to shout. Negative space does half the work — the empty silk around blue bird lets the subject breathe. Hang it at eye level and it pulls viewers in gently, without taking over.

A single nail and a quiet stretch of wall are all it asks for. Hung straight from its cord with no frame required, it brings a calm focal point to whatever wall it meets. It is a fine example of blue bird and lily Chinese painting, the kind of piece that grows on you.
